Notes
Aging: Races with significantly altered lifespans age proportionally. Their childhood will be longer or shorter depending on their entire lifespan, and physical and mental development will accelerated or decelerated accordingly. For example, Dark Elves take fifty years to become sexually mature, and the Galstran take seven years.
Mixing The Races: Members of any race upon the face of Aedolyn may take part in and develop romantic relationships with members of any other race. Polite society, however, does not always approve of these pairings and can be violently opposed to them. A Human-form Turuvkin and a Human might find a place with a higher level of tolerance, a place in which to make a life together. A Dwarf and a Dracon might even find happiness together (I had to imagine it. Now you do.). Acceptance of interracial coupling differs greatly from place to place. It might be totally ignored in a progressively open-minded city, inspire scandalized whispers in another, or incite people to violence in another.
Only the Races of Man (4 of the 5 Common Races of Aedolyn) are genetically compatible enough to crossbreed with each other. An interracial pairing of any variety of Elf, Human, Dwarf, or Orc, may produce Half-breed offspring. These offspring are a blending of the two races and possess genetic traits from each. The way those genetic traits are distributed and balanced will vary greatly. One of the parental races may be dominant in the offspring, producing a Half-Human/Orc that appears to be a large ugly human with an under bite, for example. It is equally possible (i.e. Random) that the offspring will be a perfect blending of both parental races.
If one of the parents is a Half-breed (e.g. Half-Elf/Orc), and the other is Pureblood (e.g. Human), the genes of the Pureblood parent will be dominant in the offspring. One of the races provided by the half-breed parent may provide ‘half-breed’ traits, preventing the offspring from passing easily as a Pureblood (e.g. The offspring of Human + Half-Elf/Orc , might look like a typical Half-Elf/Human with no trace of Orc to be seen). The other racial genes from the Half-breed parent become recessive, meaning that they may show up randomly in future generations (e.g. The offspring in the previous example may have a child that appears to be Half-Human/Orc).}
Social attitudes and prejudices concerning Half-breeds will differ significantly from place to place. They will also differ based upon the races mixed. A Half-Human/Elf might be accepted easier in some places than a Half-Orc/Human, for example. In other places, half-breeds might be universally despised or universally accepted. Eventually, that information should be detailed in the individual Nation write-ups. In the meantime, common sense and a bit of research should suffice. If you are still unsure, post your question in the Q&A forum for community input.
